Intercultural Training

The conquest of new markets, or cooperation with foreign partners or employees brings new opportunities as well as risks and dangers. The risks are not only financial. The reason for failure in more than 50% of joint ventures is due to cultural differences.

Take, for example, an American advert, which showed a mountain of dirty laundry on the left-hand side, the advertised detergent in the middle, and finally, on the right-hand side, a pile of clean laundry. Too bad that Arabs read from right to left...

A particularly egregious example, of course, but it does show how important it is for marketing and sales to take into account the mentality and culture of an area.
